Absolutely great and amazing hotel

Located in a local area just off with view of mountains and the seal colony north of Kaikoura. Reasonably large room with amazing views over to the mountains

Property was great, I truly enjoyed the stay.

All the services were excellent. Got king studio with tea and kitchen, as for instance as expected. The staff were VERY AMIABLE and respectful, everything was fine. Location: the hotel was next to Kaikoura-best value by far, the beach across the rail line, and large trucks.

The decoration of the hotel was absolutely charming! The warm colors and cozy furnishings made me feel right at home. The general areas were clean and well-maintained, and there were plenty of comfortable seating options for us senior folks to rest and relax. I also appreciated how accessible the hotel was for us older guests. There were handrails in the hallways and ramps in the entrance, making it easier for us to get around.

I would have loved it if the children working there could have organized some activities specifically catering to senior guests. It would have been nice to have a gentle exercise class or a social gathering where we could meet and connect with other seniors staying at the hotel.

Poorly located. Being on the main road we constantly had trucks going past all hours, so we didn't get much sleep.

The motel is located right on the acceleration/deceleration zone for truck leaving or entering town on SH1. Very noisy at night.

The Mediterranean Motel in Kaikoura was spotlessly clean and conveniently located on a noisy corner of the main road. Despite the town's sad situation after the earthquakes - the lady running the motel managed to keep a smile on her face. The friendly service from Bazza stood out - as he had the heater going and attended to all our requests.

Can't recommend highly enough.

The rooms were hella comfy and the staff were chill af. During the day, we hit up the Kowhai River Track for some easygoing rides, yo! It was perfect for our crew and the views were dope. And when we needed to unwind, we took a relaxing stroll through the lavender gardens - totally rejuvenating, dude.

We were craving some late-night fun, and while the motel was great, we wished they had a sick game room or a cool hangout spot for us party-loving peeps. It would've taken our stay to the next level!

We came from the north island and although our GPS didn't put in the right place to begin with its was easy to find and close to some food place which was awesome!
